Visa upon Arrival?
So we planned the first two weeks of our trip from The States and then "we'd figure it out when we get there".......
After being here 2 weeks we just started to delve into "figuring it out" which has proven to be more stressful than we thought. Do we go down south to the islands? Or up north to mainland SEA? Either way we have to hop around a little.
We take into account a few factors... Weather, holidays, high/low season etc. And decide to fly to Yangon Myanmar on Feb 5, yay!
Or nay...?
We are currently researching getting a visa to enter the country and there are plenty of restrictions. Reading things like "apply at least 3 weeks before leaving the US" or "can only arrive with a business visa with proof from sponsoring Myanmar company" or "only if you have made prior arrangements with a travel agency"...
We have done none of those things sooooo we're getting a little nervous. Also its Saturday so we'll have to wait until Monday to go to the Embassy. Good thing we have 3 more months and an open schedule:) Stay tuned...
