Long tail boat > Ferry > taxi > [overnight in Langkawi] > taxi > flight > flight > hotel van

(Koh Lipe, Thailand > Yangon, Myanmar)

Koh Lipe is quite remote - so much so that it usually takes 2 days to get to your next destination. We ferried to a separate island in Malaysia called Langkawi and stayed overnight. Our new Dutch friends were doing the same thing so we drank beers and ate falafel on the beach with them - not too shabby of a layover. Next day, the usual... Morning cab, flight, hotel van pickup (this is a luxury) and arrive at hotel in Yangon @ 4:15 pm.  The time difference is by the 1/2 hr! Weird.
